At Heart of the House, your financial future is important to us. That is why we are excited to announce that you now have a tax-advantaged way to save for retirement through Heart of the House and the Servantex Family of Companies 401(k) Plan!
What is a 401(k) Plan?
A 401(k) plan is a tax-advantaged retirement savings plan offered by employers. It allows you to contribute a portion of your weekly pay into your 401(k) account. These contributions are automatically deducted from your pay and excluded from your taxable income. In addition to your contributions, Heart of the House will add to your account by matching a portion of your contributions!
How Do I Get Started?
The first step is to register for one of our 401(k) enrollment training sessions. During this web-based training you will learn more about our 401(k) plan, get answers to common questions, and learn how to enroll. We encourage all employees to attend one of these sessions. There are two times available:
Monday, September 19, 2022 4:00 PM-5:00 PM EST
Tuesday, September 27, 2022 Noon-1:00 PM EST
These sessions will be recorded and made available to anyone who cannot attend the live training.
Enrollment Cutoff
To participate in the 401(k) plan with an October start date, you must complete and submit the enrollment paperwork by midnight on September 28, 2022. If you miss this deadline, you will have the option to enroll the following month or any month thereafter.
Start Date for 401(k) Contributions and Deductions
If enrolled by September 28, 2022, your 401(k) contributions will be deducted from your weekly pay starting October 7, 2022. The company’s matching contributions will begin on this date as well.
Now is the time to start planning for your future! Enrolling in the company’s 401(k) plan makes saving for retirement automatic and easy. We encourage you to take advantage of this tax-advantaged retirement plan and its numerous benefits.
