PEOPLE FIRST. SAFETY FIRST.

Today, we’re shining the Safety First Spotlight on Manny Godoy, Raleigh Market Manager and Trust Ambassador for Heart of the House.

Manny was nominated by Regional Director, Gina Azer, for communicating with and supporting our clients and associates on a daily basis. He has proven to them that Heart of the House is a true partner, especially during the pandemic.

How long have you worked for Heart of the House?

In mid-August it will be a year that I have been with Heart of the House.

What is your favorite thing about working at Heart of the House?

My favorite thing about working at Heart of the House cannot be summed up to one sole item. I love the regional team I am a part of. My regional director challenges me constantly and gets the best out of me. I love the support team at the home office in Indianapolis, and I love the independence and empowerment entrusted in me to grow our business. I love being heard and, ultimately, I feel welcome and part of a family.

What do you love most about supporting the hospitality industry?

I love supporting the hospitality industry because having spent over 20 years in hotel leadership roles, I feel I can relate with our clients’ needs and expectations while giving them in return the service they put out on a daily basis.  In essence, I love making them feel like a valued guest and partner and not just an account we service.  I strive to exceed their expectations and I believe that is what makes a difference between us and our competitors.

How are you helping our hospitality associates and clients?

The way I help our clients and associates is by showing genuine care and interest in them.  I constantly ask what their needs are and help them with training. I also help by buffering the relationship at our clients’ workplaces and offering support when needed (sometimes help is needed beyond solely work). I show care and concern for every facet of a person’s life and help our associates, partners, and our business grow. I am always an ambassador of our company and community.

What does People First | Safety First mean to you?

People First | Safety First, to me, means the safer our associates are (whether it be training, coaching and counseling, listening, assisting, fostering a safe and non-hostile/fair and healthy work environment) the more they will feel taken care of and invested in our company.  It also means trying our best to have everyone safety compliant while having a heart and showing compassion.

Is there anything else you’d like to share?

Lastly, I would just like to share how grateful I am working for such an awesome company.  Not many people know that I am an amputee and having a disability is challenging enough.  At times, in the past, my disability silently hindered me from pursuing certain career options which I was, and am, capable of.  I am thankful every day that Gina Azer hired me and helped me get back to business. She helped uncover other things I did not know I had in me.  Thank you so much Heart of the House for the opportunity.
