Heart of the House Cincinnati Opens New Office

Heart of the House Cincinnati Team

Cincinnati Welcomes Heart of the House as its Hospitality Talent Hub

Heart of the House, recognized as a Best of Staffing Award Winner, has become the go-to resource for Cincinnati hotel managers seeking reliable talent. To further enhance their staffing services, they recently launched a new state-of-the-art recruitment and training office.

“We’re providing king-sized hospitality talent solutions right here in the Queen City,” says Cincinnati Market Manager, Larissa Teixeira proudly. “Property and event managers rely on us to keep them staffed through the high season, and that can mean anywhere from 5 associates to over 100 at a time. The new office has helped us scale up our recruitment and onboarding abilities. We’re attracting an increasing amount of local talent and providing our hotel clients with talent faster than ever.”

Recognition and Retention Equals a Reliable Staffing Solution

Heart of the House provides its employees with an array of enticing benefits, such as a 401K plan with company match, comprehensive health, dental, and vision insurance, and generous paid time off (PTO).  The hospitality staffing leader also implemented a milestone award and bonus program which pays associates for 5, 10, 15, and 20 years of service.

Does it help retain hotel workers?  Valentina Martinez, Midwest Regional Director for Heart of the House can attest to it.

“We paid out 87 milestone bonuses in May alone! Although our new office rollouts are focused on recruitment, the care and support we give our Associates after they come onboard is what matters most. Employee recognition and reward is part of the culture at Heart of the House. We have associates celebrating 15 years with us! Our retention rates are very high and it’s one of the reasons hotels enjoy working with us.”

In 2022, staffing shortages were a significant concern for the majority of hotels, as reported by The American Hotel and Lodging Association (AHLA). A staggering 97% of AHLA’s hotel members faced these challenges, with 58% specifically struggling to find sufficient housekeeping staff. Heart of the House has emerged as a valuable industry solution; solely focusing on finding, screening, and training local hotel and event talent in 34 markets across the country.

But Larissa Tiexera says hospitality staffing is about reliability and quality, not numbers, “Turnover can be worse, and more costly, than not having enough staff to begin with,” she warns. “Our new office has a training and testing center, and every associate, even ones with years of experience, are evaluated and trained to our high standards. When they arrive at a client property, they hit the ground running and stay for the long run!”
